No Mind has Conceived what God has prepared for You

As it is written:  "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.
--1 Corinthians 2:9
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Many of the things we anticipate and dream about are much less glorious in real life than they were in our imaginations. There is one event, however, that is better than we can imagine and beyond our wildest dreams. When Jesus returns to take us home to be with our Father, it will be far better than we can ask, imagine, dream or think.  Maranatha - Come Lord Jesus!

MY PRAYER
Abba Father, thank you for knowing me before time began. Thank you for crafting me in my mother's womb.     Thank you for sending Jesus to pay the price for my sins.  And thank you in advance for the day Jesus comes to take me home to be with you forever.  Through my Conquering Savior I pray.  Amen.
Let The Lord Be Your Promotion

Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.
Esther 2:15

When King Ahasuerus was looking for a new queen, the most beautiful women in the land were all brought into the palace. All the women were given the opportunity to adorn themselves with whatever they desired from the women’s quarters before they were brought for an audience with the king.

But when it was Esther’s turn, she “requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised.” And look at the results: “Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her,” and the king “loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen” (Esther 2:17).

While the other women probably tried to outdo one another by relying on their own efforts, Esther wisely submitted to the one person who knew the king’s preferences best, and the results speak for themselves. I want you to see how Esther depended on the Lord’s unmerited favor. She did not strive to win. She rested in the Lord and humbled herself, and the Lord promoted her and exalted her above all the other beautiful women.

My friend, when you humble yourself and cease from your efforts to promote yourself, and depend on Jesus alone, the Lord Himself will be your promotion and increase. Like Esther, you will stand out in a crowd and obtain grace and favor with God and man!

2 dimensional Christianity

Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
--Deuteronomy 6:4-5
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
So many times Satan seduces us into a flat, 2 dimensional Christianity - going to church and doing good deeds.  But God calls us to a three dimensional faith. He wants us to love him with all of our being in all of  our actions and with all of our might.

MY PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I honor you as God Almighty.  I appreciate you for all your kindness and blessings lavished upon me.  I love you because you first loved me in Jesus. My heart's desire today is to demonstrate my love for you in all I do, and love and say.  Through Jesus.  Amen.
Let The Lord Be Your Promotion

Love, Defined by Action

If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar.  For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.  And he has given us this command:  Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
--1 John 4:20-21
 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Love!  The word can mean anything.  Many in the Christian community have tried to define it by a dictionary or lexicon, not realizing the key word for love, agape, is defined by action. Before Christians got a hold of agape, it meant the same thing our word today does:  just about anything!  But if you read 1 John, you see what love is by what God does. God demonstrates his love. He asks us to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Love must be more than talk, it must be genuinely demonstrated in action!

MY PRAYER
Precious Father, you have so graciously shared your love with me.  I must confess, in my heart I intend to love others as you do, but my intentions often get washed away with "busy-ness" or timidity.  Father, through your Spirit, prompt me to show my love to others in actions rather than just thought and talk.  Through Jesus, your greatest demonstration of love I pray.  Amen.
Divine Appointments

Today's Scripture:
We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
Proverbs 16:9, NLT.

Today's Word:
There are some people that God has placed in your life to help you reach your destiny. They may not know you very well, but they may introduce you to someone or put in a good word for you with someone you need to be connected with. They may have wisdom or advice that will thrust you forward in life. We have to remember that these divine appointments have been orchestrated by God Almighty. Divine appointments aren’t always the people you would expect. In fact, oftentimes they are the people you don’t expect—a woman at the grocery store, an intern at the office, someone who may seem to be less influential. But, God can give anyone an idea. God can use anyone to make a connection. We should always be open to receive from others. We should always treat everyone we encounter with dignity, honor and respect. You never know who God is going to use in your life. So be open, be loving, be kind and sow good seeds that will open the doors to His divine appointments!

Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for ordering my steps. Thank You for divine appointments that keep me on the right path. Help me to discern the opportunities You have placed in front of me and see clearly Your hand guiding me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

"Stained Glass Ghetto"

Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written:  "Be holy, because I am holy."
--1 Peter 1:15-16
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
"Holy" is one of those words we generally associate with the "stained glass ghetto" -- a word only "church folks" use.  That may be true, but it's still a great concept.  Every kid knows that you don't eat hot dogs and potato chips on china.       Mom's china is reserved for "special company" or "special occasions."  Hot dogs are for paper plates and every day, china is for special events.  When God is calling us to be holy, he's calling us to be china -- something special just for him, and as Peter emphasizes, just like him.

MY PRAYER
Holy Lord, God Almighty, I come before you knowing how great the distance is between your holiness and my commonness.  I thank you for making me holy through the sacrifice of Jesus and by sending your Holy Spirit to live inside of me.  Please receive my life today as a holy offering to you.  Through Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith I pray.  Amen.
Run Your Race

Today's Scripture:
…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…
Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJV.

Today's Word:
It’s easy to be tempted to go through life competing with everyone around us. When we see someone who’s more talented, better looking or has more gifts, instead of running our race and being comfortable with who we are, oftentimes we feel inferior and think, “I’ve got to catch up to them.” The problem with this unhealthy competition is that it’s a never-ending cycle.

There will always be someone ahead of us. But, it’s a very freeing thing when you realize, “I’m not competing with you. I don’t have to have as big a house as my neighbor to feel good about myself. I don’t have to keep up with my co-worker. I don’t have to be a certain size. No, I understand that I’m not in competition with my friend, my neighbor or my co-worker. Instead, I’m going to be the best me that I can possibly be.” Friend, that’s an attitude God can work with. When you focus on being who God made you to be, that’s when you’ll rise up higher and position yourself for every spiritual blessing He has in store for you!

Prayer for Today:
Father, I humbly come to You giving You all that I am. I choose to keep my eyes on You and allow You to work in my heart and mind. I declare that I am free from competition today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Walk Humbly With Your God

[God] has showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
--Micah 6:8
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
God's desires for us are not hard to discern.  He wants to bless us with salvation. The incredible gift of his Son is powerful testimony to this truth.  But salvation from sin and death is not something he wants to happen in our lives only once.  He wants our lives to daily reflect his salvation and to share it with others.  We should act justly and pursue mercy in our relationships, and honor him with our worship from a humble heart.

MY PRAYER
Almighty and compassionate Father, as I embrace this New Year, help my eyes see what your heart sees.  Teach me to hate sin and be merciful to the repentant.  Teach me to know truth and act fairly, while hating abuse and exploitation. Through your Spirit, stir me to reflect on the great distance between your holy majesty and my inconsistent character.  Make me more your child, I pray, in Jesus name.  Amen.
ENTER WITH THIS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
(Psalm 100:4, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD
As believers, we have the honor and privilege to enter boldly into God’s presence. Scripture says that we can come to His throne of grace and receive His mercy. Because He loves us, He has given us unlimited access to Himself 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

But notice that today’s verse tells us that we shouldn’t just come any old way to God. We shouldn’t come empty-handed to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. What can we bring? What do we have that’s worthy of Almighty God? Our praise. Our thanksgiving. Our worship. We are to enter His gates with an offering from our hearts of adoration because He is worthy!

We have to understand, praise isn’t just about singing songs on Sunday mornings. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to Father God for Who He is and all that He has done. Praise gets God’s attention. Praise is a powerful tool in the life of the believer because God inhabits our praises! When we enter His presence the right way, He enters our circumstances, and when God shows up, the enemy must flee! Today, enter into His gates with thanksgiving and open the door for Him to move on your behalf!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I come to You today with thanksgiving in my heart. I enter into Your courts with praise. Today I declare that You are good, and Your mercy endures forever! Have Your way in me by the power of Your Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Experience a Prosperous 2013

No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
-- Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)

Experience a Prosperous year

The New Year is full of promises and you must be thinking about what will happen this 2013. A lot of people will be creating their resolutions and most of the time those resolutions we set are not met. This process is being repeated year by year which brings us to nowhere. Let me share to you the things I learned about the verse above which will lead us to experiencing a prosperous 2013.

Focus on One Thing
The verse is telling us to focus. Focus is a very big factor which brings us to success and a lot of people lacks focus and tends to get destructed with unnecessary things. What are the things that you need to focus on, I think we have to focus on our goals. Once we set our goals, like the apostle Paul, he only focused all his energy to one thing. We should also focus our attention to achieving our goals. One practical application we can do to stay focus is to have a notebook, and list all the things you need to accomplish. You then read your list every morning and before going to sleep. This way you get reminded of the things that you need to do.

Forgetting the Past and looking Forward
Another thing that Paul wants to tell us is to forget the past. I believe what Paul meant about the things in the past, are the negative things that we experienced. Events in our life which keeps us not to move forward, these are your failures, unavoidable circumstances, and disappointments. Instead of dwelling on those things, I would take Paul’s advice to look forward on the things ahead. I know that a great blessing awaits those who expects and wait with faith upon the Lord.

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for 2012, for your protection, for your grace and mercy and all the blessings. This year, 2013, I declare abundance, financial freedom, good health, good relationship, and that I may be a blessing to all the people in my sphere of influence, In Jesus Name. Amen

"Greetings, you who are highly favored!

God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.  The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
--Luke 1:26-28
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Wow!  Such a familiar sentence packed with emotion.   An angel comes to Nazareth to visit and speak with a young woman engaged to be married. Before the history-shattering news is announced, she is given one key reminder that will be truer than she could imagine, "The Lord is with you."

MY PRAYER
My request, O God, I've sung many times:  "Be with me Lord, I cannot live without Thee.  I cannot bear to take one step alone."  Father, I need your abiding presence to face the challenges of life.  As you have upheld your children through the ages, I am thankful to greet each day knowing that I will not face it alone.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
His Grace Never Ceases

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness…
Lamentations 3:22–23, NLT

Placing a handful of tokens onto the arcade game machine that my little Jessica was completely engrossed in, I said to her, “Jessica, once the game is ending, just put in another token, alright?” She was only three years old then, but certainly understood well enough how to keep on inserting new tokens to keep the game going.

It was fun watching her enjoy the game. Her eyes would light up and her dimples would show, especially when she was winning. As her father, seeing her happy made me happy, so I kept watch to ensure that she had sufficient tokens to keep the game going. Once they ran low, I would rush to the counter to get a new stack of tokens. So Jessica’s daddy kept supplying more tokens while she simply kept enjoying the game.

Beloved, if an earthly father can do this for his daughter for a simple arcade game, how much more will our heavenly Father, who loves us and delights in seeing us blessed, do to provide for us!

Experience Resurrection

[Jesus said,] "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
--John 11:25
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
This is the most important question you will ever answer. Do you really believe this? Do you believe that when you died with Christ in baptism through faith, that you died the most significant death and that your physical death will not separate you from Jesus? All of life, even all of eternity for you, hangs on  this one question.

MY PRAYER
Almighty and Everlasting Father, I believe that because you have adopted me into your family, death will never claim me. Help me live with new vigor and confidence knowing that Satan cannot have me and death cannot claim me because I am yours through Jesus. In my precious Redeemer I pray. Amen.
Stay Put, Trust Jesus And Reap A Hundredfold!

Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you…So Isaac dwelt in Gerar.
Genesis 26:2–3, 6

Looking at the cracks that lined the parched earth, Isaac thought, “This famine is bad. Perhaps I should leave Gerar and go down to Egypt and plant my crops there.”

But when he looked up, the Lord appeared and said, “Do not go down to Egypt…Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you…” So Isaac stayed put in Gerar.

When Isaac had stayed in Gerar for some time, he “planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.” Do you see that? Despite the severe famine, Isaac’s crops flourished and he had a most bountiful harvest!

Beloved, stay put where God has called you—don’t run to the world for help but keep depending on the Lord and His abounding favor. Don’t give up on God. When your faith is in the One who multiplied the loaves and fish and who knows everything, you will flourish even in times of famine!

A Light that illumines the Heart

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,"I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
--John 8:12
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Darkness is more than a symbol, it is a pervasive way of living and viewing the world.  Darkness is the place of deception, evil, crime, predators, sin, and death.  To follow Jesus means to bring him our heart and let him cast everything from the darkness that plagues us on the inside so we don't have to be afraid of the darkness on the outside.  In this way, Jesus gives us light, but it is a light that does more than fill a dark room. This is a light that illumines the heart.

MY PRAYER
Holy God who lives in glorious and irrepressible light, I praise you for sending Jesus to cast away the dark fears that so easily envelope me. I pray for strength and courage to not only live in the light, but show others their way to the light. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Pray For Qarah Each Day

Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success [qarah] this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.”
Genesis 24:12

Would you like to know how you can pray for and experience God’s divine positioning for good success?

In Genesis 24, we read about how Abraham sent his servant to look for a bride for Isaac, his son. The servant arrived at a well outside the city of Nahor in the evening and decided to stop there. There were so many young women gathered to draw water there that he did not know who would be the right woman for Isaac. So he prayed this prayer: “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.”

The word “success” here is the Hebrew word qarah. And with the Lord’s qarah or positioning for right happenings, the servant found a beautiful, virtuous woman named Rebekah, who became Isaac’s bride.

Beloved, we need the Lord to give us qarah every day. So I encourage you to pray the prayer of that servant every day. Tell the Lord, “I’m looking to You, Lord Jesus, to give me success—qarah—this day,” and depend on His unmerited favor to cause you to be at the right place at the right time. He will cause your paths to cross with that of the right people who will be a blessing to you and to whom you can be a blessing!

No rival worthy... No change necessary...

Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened  in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
--Colossians 2:6-7
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Some things you don't change, swap, or update.  In an age when computer processors make major leaps every few months and software companies release new upgrades every year, we get programmed into looking for the new and improved version of everything. The simple but profound truth is that Jesus is Lord. No update needed.  No rival worthy.  No change necessary.  In fact, if we stray from this as the basis of our life, we put all we hold dear at risk.  But if we continue, if we grow, if we root ourselves in this truth and make it the undergirding reality of our lives, then our future is secure and our victory assured!

MY PRAYER
Holy God, I thank you for the simple, challenging and enduring truth of Jesus' Lordship.  Through your Spirit, I pray that you will conform my life to more closely reflect his lordship in my work, my family, and daily influence.  Through the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen.
A Different Spirit

Today's Scripture
But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.
Numbers 14:24, NASB.

Today's Word
One time in Scripture, Moses sent twelve men to spy out the Promised Land. The people of Israel were camped right next door and excited about possessing the land. But after 40 days, ten of the men came back with a negative report. They said, “Moses, there are giants in the land, and we’ll never defeat them.” That negative report spread throughout the rest of the camp, and the people began to murmur and complain.

But one of the spies named Caleb said, “Moses, we are well able to defeat these people. Let us go up at once and take the land!”

It’s interesting that they all saw the same land, the same circumstances; yet, they had totally different views. How could their reports be so opposite? Here’s how: Caleb had a different spirit. He saw things with a different perspective. Others were focused on the giants, but Caleb was focused on his God. The people who complained never actually made it into the Promised Land, but Caleb did. He accompanied a new generation that chose the blessing of God.

Today, you can choose to have a different spirit. Don’t listen to what everyone else says; listen to what God says. Choose to believe His Word, choose to obey Him, and He will lead you into your promised land!

Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, today I choose to tune out the negative voices of the world. I choose to trust in You even when no one else around me will. I thank You for the good things You are doing in my life and trust that You will fulfill every promise You’ve made to me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Entering into Grace

Enter [the Lord's] gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
 --Psalm 100:4-5
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Worship is always about entering - entering into grace, entering with thanksgiving, entering to share with others, but most of all entering into the Lord's presence in a special way.  But our entering is not the basis of worship.   Instead, worship is about the Lord's faithfulness, goodness, and enduring grace.  We come to God like so many before us, who are waiting with God for us.  We come to praise him for all he has been, all he is, and all he will be.  We come to enter and worship.

MY PRAYER
Faithful God, the Almighty Rock of Israel, the God on whom the generations trusted, you alone, LORD, are God.  I praise you for your enduring grace and mercy.   I praise you because I want my heart tuned to your will.  I praise you, because I want to prepare for my longest lifetime, the one in your presence. I praise you in Jesus' name.  Amen.
The Time of Favor

Today's Scripture
That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life…
Joshua 4:14, NIV.

Today's Word
I love the promise that God gave to Joshua. He said, “Joshua, today I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all the Israelites.” He was saying, “Today, I’m going to start releasing more of My favor, My blessings, My increase.” But notice, there was a specific time in his life that God began to release favor in a new way.

Friend, I believe God wants to do the same thing for you. He wants to release His blessing and favor in such a way that it makes you great—a great parent, a great spouse, a great leader, a great employee, a great friend, a great business person. He is saying to us what He said to Joshua, “This day I’m going to begin to make your name great. This day I’m going to begin to release My favor in a new way. I’m going to open doors that no man can shut.” It is a set time of God’s favor. Get ready! Make room in your thinking. Stay open to Him and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy because the time of God’s favor is here!
