Are you in Trouble?

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
New International Version
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE
Where can we go when all the walls fall and all the armies crumble and all hope is lost? To the eternal God, who is our Father. He preserved Israel through the most difficult of times, protected the Bible from those who would eradicate it, and has led his Church through troubles and triumphs through the centuries. He will do the same with us until he brings us home to himself.
MY PRAYER
My Rock, My Hope, and My Protector, I thank you for preserving my life. I thank you for hearing my cries for help and healing. I thank you for guiding my feet into ways that have been a blessing. Please, O God, stay close by as I face the stresses and challenges in my life. Through your Spirit, enable me to grow and be an example to others as I pass through life's storm. Through Jesus I ask it. Amen.
The Prince Of Peace Is With You
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:39
Panic filled the storm-tossed boat as icy water crashed in. Within minutes, the disciples were screaming over the howling winds, “Jesus, don’t you care? We’re drowning!”
Sound asleep in the boat, the Prince of Peace awoke and rose to His feet at the cry of His disciples. Unfazed by the wind and waves, He pointed to the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” Immediately, the turbulent waters became as smooth as glass.
Beloved, if you’re grappling with a challenging situation right now, take heart. The Prince of Peace resides in you. No matter how bad the storm is, you are NOT going under, but going OVER to the other side safely!
When you feel overwhelmed, just cry out to Him. Feed on how He is your peace. Meditate on how He is with you and for you. His peace will flood your heart and bring peace to every stormy situation in your life.

A Lost World

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
New International Version
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
Maranatha -- O Lord come! This cry of the early church, especially during times of trial, persecution, and difficulty, must be tempered with the reminder that there is a lost world around us -- many of whom are dear friends and family. Our passion for the Lord's coming must be equaled by our passion to share his grace with those who have not "come to repentance" and changed their lives to serve the Lord who died to bring them life.
MY PRAYER...
O Great and Patient God, please do all within your power and grace to bring my loved ones and dear friends to repentance so that when Jesus appears they can share in my joy and your salvation. Through Jesus The Savior I pray. Amen.
Speak Out Your Righteousness
But the righteousness of faith speaks…
Romans 10:6
Let me share something powerful with you about righteousness. In Romans 10:6, God’s Word tells us that the “righteousness of faith speaks” .Now, what does this mean? It means that God encourages us to not just believe in our hearts that we are righteous, but to also SPEAK it out!
So righteous one, declare your righteousness. Every day, boldly say, “Father, I thank You that I am righteous in Christ, not because of what I have done, but because of what Christ has done. It’s a gift and I receive it with all my heart.”
I believe that when you speak and declare your righteousness, good things happen. You become conscious of all the blessings and all the promises that are due the righteous. Instead of disqualifying yourself, you’ll start to believe God for good success, favor and wisdom. Experiencing provision becomes effortless because you know your right standing in Christ. So stop disqualifying yourself and confess your righteousness instead!
