Be At The Right Place
At The Right Time
…the
race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise,
nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and
chance happen to them all.
Ecclesiastes
9:11
Thoughts About The Verse
Never
forget that “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…but
time and chance happen to them all.” God wants you to have the right timing—His
timing, and He wants to lead you to the right places. Psalm 37:23 says, “The
steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord…” You are that “good man” because
you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Now,
look at the word “happen” in Ecclesiastes 9:11. In the original Hebrew text, it
is the word qarah, which means “to encounter, to meet (without
pre-arrangement), to chance to be present.” In a nutshell, it means “right
happening.” So you can depend on the Lord to cause you to be at the right place
at the right time, to have right happenings happen in your life! I’m sure that
you would agree that being at the right place at the right time is a tremendous
blessing. You certainly don’t want to be at the wrong place at the wrong time!
Beloved,
don’t depend on how smart you are and how well you plan your day. Only Jesus
knows how to place you at the right place at the right time. So depend on Him
for right happenings. Commit your plans to Him and let Him lead you
supernaturally into good success in all that you do!
God is in control of time
Ecc
3:11 God makes everything happen at the right time. Yet none of us can ever
fully understand all he has done, and he puts questions in our minds about the
past and the future. (CEV)
Ecc
3:11 He has made everything beautiful in His time; also He has set eternity in
their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the
beginning to the end. (MKJV)
Daniel
2:20-22 (NKJV)
Daniel
answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and
might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and
raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have
understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the
darkness and light dwells with Him.
